On Thursday, 23 April 2026, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Sanata Dharma University conducted a training program on social media content creation entitled Creative Content for Impact: Strategies and Production of Engaging and Effective Social Media Content through Artificial Intelligence. The program was held at Driyarkara Seminar Room, Campus II Mrican, from 09.00 to 15.30 WIB.
The training session was led by Peter Ardhianto, S.Sn., M.Sn., Ph.D., who shared practical insights on how Artificial Intelligence can support creative communication and institutional promotion. The program focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of digital content strategy while introducing AI as a tool for faster, smarter, and more adaptive content production.
One of the key topics discussed was the role of AI in design and content development. Participants were introduced to how AI can assist both analytical and generative tasks. AI can help identify trends, understand audience behavior, and analyze communication needs, while also generating visuals, concepts, and creative drafts for promotional purposes. The workshop also emphasized prompt writing techniques for image generation. Participants learned how detailed instructions can shape the final output by specifying subject, style, atmosphere, background, lighting, and visual mood. Through several examples, participants explored how a simple prompt could evolve into more refined and engaging visual content.
Another important session focused on audience targeting and branding strategy. Participants were guided to identify customer personas, understand audience expectations and concerns, and formulate clear unique selling points. The training highlighted that effective social media content should not only look attractive, but also communicate value and solve audience needs. Storytelling was also presented as an essential element in content creation. Participants learned how strong narratives can introduce problems, offer solutions, and create emotional connection with viewers. This approach was recommended for educational institutions seeking more meaningful engagement with prospective students and the wider public.

In the practical session, participants developed concepts for short promotional reels by combining AI generated images, simple video sequences, and strategic messaging. The objective was to produce thirty second promotional content aligned with each unit’s target market and communication goals. Overall, the training provided valuable knowledge on integrating creativity, strategy, and emerging technology in digital promotion. Through this program, participants gained practical skills to create more relevant, engaging, and impactful social media content for their respective departments and study programs.
